Kilkeel: Man assaulted in ‘premeditated attack’ involving knuckle dusters

Police said three men were involved in the attack

A man has been assaulted with knuckle dusters in a “premeditated attack” in Co Down, police said.

The victim was targeted by three men in the Greencastle Street area of Kilkeel last Wednesday.

Police said one of the men involved had knuckle dusters.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an assault in Kilkeel.

“This occurred on Wednesday 28th August at approximately 22:15hrs on Greencastle Street, Kikeel.

“Three males have attacked a male in what appears to be a premeditated attack near Eurospar.

“One male had knuckle dusters.
