Man arrested after cash machines targeted in Ballymena

A man witnessed spray painting a cash machine in Ballymena was questioned by police on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

The 27-year-old was arrested after two machines were targeted on Wednesday morning.

At approximately 10.50am a man was spotted spray painting the ATM on Wellington Street. He walked to another and did the same, the police said.

Offices responding located a man matching the description in the report and he was arrested for alleged criminal damage.

He was in police custody on Wednesday afternoon.
