A 33-year-old man has been arrested after police received a report of a male threatening others with a knife in Co Down.

The incident happened shortly before 9.30pm on Monday in the Belfast Road area of Bangor.

A PSNI spokesperson said a 33-year-old man was arrested a short time later at a nearby address on suspicion of offences including possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He remained in custody on Tuesday
