Man arrested in connection with Creggan security alert

A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in connection with a security alert in Creggan.

The 31-year-old was arrested in Derry on Thursday evening following an investigation of a security alert in the Southway area of Creggan on Tuesday July 9.

Police have said he is being questioned at the Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in Belfast.

A spokesperson added: “The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1510 09/07/24.”
