Man arrested over counterfeit goods haul representing brand loss of over £500,000

A 28-year-old man has been arrested after thousands of counterfeit goods items estimated to represent a brand loss of over £500,000 were recovered in Co Derry.

The counterfeit clothing, watches, trainers and handbags were seized during searches by police at a residential and a business property in the Dungiven area on Thursday.

The man was detained on suspicion of possessing items that breach a registered trademark and possessing articles infringing copyright.



He has since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
