Man charged after assault on two police officers and another man in Co Tyrone

He is due to appear in court at the end of the month

A 27-year-old man has been charged after a man and two police offers were assaulted in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.

Police had responded to a report that a man had been assaulted in the Molesworth Street area of the town on August 2.

Police have confirmed that the individual has been charged with assault, two counts of assault on police and resisting police.

The man is due to appear in Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on August 30.
