Man due before Strabane court charged with possessing counterfeit currency

A 26-year-old man is due to appear in court in Strabane today following reports of the use of counterfeit bank notes.

He has been charged with 19 counts of possessing counterfeit currency.

The man, who was arrested on Wednesday, is expected to appear before Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Police said a second man, aged 39, who was also arrested yesterday, has been released to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.
