Man due in court after drugs worth £2,300 seized in Derry

The PSNI said the charges come after a proactive policing operation in the Glenshane Road area

A man is due to appear in court after drugs with an estimated street value of £2,300 were seized in Derry.

Police said the man, aged 23, has been charged with a number of offences, including possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B controlled drug, and possessing criminal property.

The charges come after proactive policing operation in the Glenshane Road area of Derry on Friday, during which a quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £2,300 were recovered.

The man is due to appear before Derry Magistrates Court on November 14.
