Man due in court after shotgun cartridges left outside homes in Newtownards estate

A man is due to appear in court today charged in connection with reports of shotgun cartridges being left outside houses in a Co Down housing estate.

The cartridges were found in the Weavers Grange area of Newtownards on Tuesday.

It is understood they were left at homes of new residents and those due to have new tenants in the estate.

The 36-year-old man has been charged with intimidation and possessing ammunition without a certificate.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court today.
