A man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck by a car in Co Down.
A woman was arrested after the man, aged in his 40s, was injured in the collision in Bangor.
Police said officers received a report of a one-vehicle collision in the Faulkner Heights area on Saturday morning.
A PSNI spokesman said: “Shortly before 10:40am, it was reported that a man in his 40s was struck by a car in the area.
“He was taken to hospital for his injuries and remains in a critical condition at this time.
“A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of a number of related offences.
“She was subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.
“The investigation remains ongoing, and police would appeal to anyone with any information that might assist with their enquiries, should contact them on 101 quoting reference number 516 25/05/24.”
