Man found in alleyway with broken arms and legs after “horrific” Belfast assault

A man in his 30s was found in an alleyway with broken arms and legs and cuts to his head after a “horrific” assault in north Belfast on Sunday night.

The man is in a stable condition in hospital after the incident was reported to the PSNI shortly after 9pm on Sunday. He was located in an alleyway off Azamor Street off the Shankill Road.

Officers attended the scene where the victim was found seriously injured from the attack which police say will leave physical and mental scars.



A police spokesperson said: “Our investigation is now underway to establish what happened, who was involved and a motive.

“Horrific violence has been inflicted on this man that will leave physical and mental scars and trauma that may never heal. No good comes from this – ever.”
