A man in his sixties is in a serious condition in hospital following a collision on the M1 that closed the busy road in both directions on Sunday.
The incident was reported just before 7am and emergency services attended the scene.
M1 - due to an ongoing incident the M1 is closed Westbound at Dunmurry and Eastbound at Saintfield Road. Traffic is currently being diverted off at Blacks Road and Saintfield Road. Road users should seek an alternative route for their journey until this is cleared (07:04)

Police issued an appeal for information.
“At around 6.50am, it was reported that a collision had occurred between a pedestrian and a lorry travelling on the motorway west-bound,” a spokesperson said.
“The road, closed for seven hours, has now fully reopened. The injured man, aged in his sixties, is in a critical condition in hospital. An investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage is asked to contact police.”
