Motorists have been told to avoid part of the A1 after what’s been described as a serious road crash on Sunday morning.

The crash occurred between Hillsborough and Dromore.

A police spokesman said that diversions are in place in both directions.

He said: “There are diversions in place in both the northbound and southbound lanes. Please seek an alternative route for your journey where possible.”
