Natalie McNally brothers end 90-mile charity walk from Armagh to Croke Park

The brothers of Natalie McNally received an emotional welcome outside Croke Park on Sunday as they completed a five day charity fundraising walk ahead of the All-Ireland final.

Niall and Declan McNally have been actively raising money for Women’s Aid since their sister Natalie was killed in her Lurgan home in December 2022.

The pair are also raising funds for young GAA star Caolan Finnegan who is battling cancer.

Niall and Declan embarked on their 90 mile journey on Wednesday from Craigavon lake and arrived at Croke Park in time for throw in on Sunday.

Ms McNally (32) was stabbed at her home in Silverwood Green, Lurgan, on the night of December 18 2022.

The man accused of murdering her is set to stand trial in September. Stephen McCullagh (33) from Woodland Gardens, Lisburn, has denied murdering his then-partner, who was 15 weeks pregnant.



The family was greeted at Croke Park by friends and supporters as well as GAA President and former Armagh captain Jarlath Burns.

Outside the stadium, Niall McNally told The Irish News that the last match they attended with Natalie, Armagh lost to Galway.

He said he hoped she’s would be “shining down” on them on Sunday.

“It’s bittersweet I’m feeling fine from the walk I enjoyed every minute. I can’t say same for Declan but we’ve raised £27,000 so far and some cash donations too well above the £10,000 target. It’s absolutely amazing,” he added.

Declan said his legs were worn but he was looking forward to the game.

“There were a few struggles along the way, legs are sore bit now we’ve got here it’s absolutely fantastic. People have been so supportive beeping their horns and donating money. It’s fantastic,” he said.
