The summer sunshine finally arrived in the North this week, but it looks to be short lived.
Last weekend saw sun and blue skies with many taking advantage of the heat, heading to our local parks and beaches.
On Tuesday sunseekers flocked to Belfast city hall to bask in the 22C heat while street performers resorted to umbrellas to keep cool.
Some brightness might break through the cloudy skies in the coming days with a mix of sunny spells and patchy light showers expected through the afternoons with temperatures remaining in the late teens.
A Met Eireann spokesperson said: “It will be cloudy and rather humid on Wednesday with patchy rain and drizzle along with mist on some coasts and hills.
“Thursday looks set to start out mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain pushing northeastwards. During the course of the afternoon and evening, a clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers is expected to spread. Meanwhile Friday is expected to be a bright and fresh day with a mix of sunny spells and passing showers with long clear spells and well scattered showers on Friday night.”
Sunny spells and passing showers are set to continue through the weekend.
