Patrick Kielty and Mary Robinson are to receive honorary degrees from Ulster University this summer.
Mr Kielty, who last year took over as host of the Late Late Show and released his first feature firm Ballywalter, is being recognised for his contribution to the arts.
Serving from 1990-1997, Mary Robinson was the first female President of Ireland and is an advocate for climate action and gender equality. She will be recognised by Ulster University for her international impact on sustainability, climate change and social responsibility.
This year’s honourees also include veteran journalist Eamonn Mallie, Sister Nuala Kelly, former CEO of the Shankill Women’s Centre Betty Carlisle, artist and author Oliver Jeffers and Glamour’s Global Editorial Director Samantha Barry.
