Police appeal after “substantial” amount of cash stolen during Co Antrim burglary

A substantial amount of cash has been stolen in a burglary in Co Antrim.

Police said the money was taken from a flat in the Castle Street area of Ballycastle on Monday.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “At approximately 11.10pm, it was reported that access had been gained to a flat above a business in the Castle Street area sometime between 9.20pm and 10.30pm.

“A substantial amount of cash had been taken along with a number of personal items.

“Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw anyone suspicious, or anyone with CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries is asked to contact detectives on 101.”
