Police appeal after east Belfast home ransacked during New Year’s Eve burglary

A house in east Belfast has been ransacked during a burglary on New Year’s Eve, police have said.

It is believed that entry was gained to the property in the Grand Parade area on Tuesday sometime between 9.40am and 1:45pm.

A PSNI spokesman said: “It is unclear if anything was taken at this stage, but a number of rooms upstairs were ransacked during the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and police would appeal to anyone with any information or CCTV footage, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 820 31/12/24.”
