65 people have lost their lives on Northern Ireland’s roads to date this year. Here we remember all those who have died:

January 2: A man died following a single vehicle road traffic collision on Old Dublin Road in Cloghoge near Newry, Co Down

January 15: John Stewart Moore from north Belfast, a pedestrian, was struck at around 7am on the Antrim Road, close to the Cliftonville Road junction in north Belfast

January 27: Denis Kelly, who owned a dental practice in Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone, was involved in a collision between a car and a lorry in the town’s Knockmany Road area

January 28: Samuel McAuley (26), who was a pedestrian from the Belfast area, lost his life following a collision on Donegall Square West in Belfast city centre

February 9: A man died in a two-vehicle collision on the Bangor Road in Newtownards, Co Down

February 9: Ita Cavanagh (73) from Pomeroy, Co Tyrone, died on March 27 after a one-vehicle collision in William Street, Cookstown, Co Tyrone

March 5: Jenny Dunlop (59) died in a four-vehicle collision on the M2 between Sandyknowes and Templepatrick junction

March 8: A man died following a single-vehicle collision in the Magheramorne area of Larne, Co Antrim

March 8 : One-year-old Frank Michael Gracey McIlduff, who was from Lurgan, Co Armagh, died in a road traffic collision in Moira, Co Down

March 14 : Aodhán Gillen (22), who played for Dundela Football Club, was a pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle on Scullions Road, Newtownabbey, Co Antrim

April 2 : A man in his 30s was a pedestrian who died after a one-vehicle crash Garvallagh Road area of Fintona, Co Tyrone.

April 4: Liam Mulligan (28) died following a one-vehicle crash on the A4 Belfast Road near Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone

April 16: Glen Montgomery (18) died after being hit by a vehicle as he walked in the Moy Road area of Portadown, Co Armagh

April 16: Ben Gillis (19) from Tandragee died following a single vehicle collision in Richhill, Co Armagh

April 27: Julia McSorley (75), Dan McKane (45) and Christine McKane (49) died when a minivan collided with a lorry on the A5 near Augnacloy in Co Tyrone

May 5: Aidy Clarkin (43), from the Draperstown area, died in a single-vehicle collision in Lisnamuch Road in Tobermore in Co Derry

May 6: An 80-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision at the Church Road in Moorfields near Ballymena, Co Antrim

May 7: A man in an electric wheelchair was struck by a car on Milltown Road in Ballymoney, Co Antrim

May 7: Conor McGrugan, who was from the Ballyclare area, died in hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the Templepatrick Road in Ballyclare, Co Antrim

May 10: Eddie Jackson (46), from the east Belfast area, died in a collision involving his electric scooter on the Knock Road in east Belfast

May 12: Pedestrian Jordan Nixon (22) died after being struck by a vehicle in the Moira Road area of Glenavy, Co Antrim

May 19: A man in his 60s died following a collision on Moyarget Road in Ballycastle, Co Antrim

May 22: Steven McDowell (26) died in a collision, involving a van and motorcycle, on Killaughey Road in Donaghadee, Co Down

May 26: A 47-year-old cyclist died following a collision involving a lorry at Castlereagh Street in east Belfast

June 17: John Mackey (20) from Ballyclare involved in a quad bike crash on Moss Road, Ballyclare, Co Antrim, died of his injuries

June 22: A motorcyclist died following a road collision in Moycraig Road in Bushmills, Co Antrim

July 4: A man, aged in his 70s, died in a collision on the Glenshane Road, Knockcloghrim, Co Derry

July 21: A passenger died following a road crash on the A5/Curr Road in Omagh, Co Tyrone

July 22: Elizabeth McCracken (87) died following a collision in the Slievenaboley Road area of Ballyward, Co Down

July 23: A male pedestrian died after an collision on the M2 motorway near Antrim Area Hospital

August 5: An 81-year-old male pedestrian died following a collision on Wakehurst/Queen’s Street in Ballymena in Co Antrim

August 8: Ryan Telford, in his late twenties, died as a result of a collision on Ballynahinch Road near Dromara, Co Down

August 9: Scarlett Rossborough (8) died following a collision in High Street, Carrickfergus, Co Antrim

August 13: James Gordon died following a two-vehicle road crash in the Whitepark Road area of Ballycastle, Co Antrim

August 13: Mother-of-one, Mairead Doherty (31) died in a car accident at Culmore Road on the outskirts of Derry

August 17: Ciaran Hurl (26) died after his motorbike was in collision with a lorry on the Blackpark Road in Toomebridge, Co Antrim on August 17.

September 5: Robert Wiseman (70s) died following a two-vehicle collision on the Downpatrick Road area of Killough, Co Down

September 10: A motorcyclist aged in his 60s died in a collision with a car on the Northway in Portadown, Co Armagh

September 29: Juraj Luptak (49), a pedestrian, died after he was struck by a van on Pomeroy Road, Co Tyrone

October 11: A woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Irvinestown Road in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh

October 21: A 61-year-old tractor was in collision with a car on the A8 dual carriageway just outside Ballynure village, Co Antrim. The tractor driver died on October 26

October 27: Dylan Vallely (16) from Newtownhamilton died three weeks after a single-vehicle crash on Sturgan Road in Camlough, Co Armagh

November 1: Margaret Small (76) died following a two-vehicle collision at the Pound Street junction with the A8 in Larne, Co Antrim

November 2: Candice Tosh (15) died from injuries she suffered in a road crash on the Dunhill Road in Co Derry

November 4: Patrick Grimley (40), Ciera Grimley (44) and Ciara McElavanna (44) died following a four-vehicle collision near Gosford road near Markethill, Co Armagh, on their way home from a night out celebrating Mr Grimley’s 40th birthday

November 18: Cathal McCrory (18), from Dromore, died following a single-vehicle crash in the Circular Road area of Katesbridge, Co Down

November 22: David Blayney (53) died from injuries sustained in a crash on the Cullybackey Road at the junction with the Teeshan Road, near Ballymena, Co Antrim

November 23: A man in his 70s who was a pedestrian died in a collision in the Meadows area of Donaghadee, Co Down

November 26: A man aged in his 20s died following a single-vehicle collision in the Annadale Embankment area of south Belfast

December 8: Katya Watson (22), died in a three-car collision on the Lisnevenagh Road in Ballymena, Co Antrim

December 10: Michael Scally (34), from the Ballycastle area, died following a single-vehicle on the Coolkeeran Road in Armoy, Co Antrim

December 10: Adam McAteer (45), an architect from the Jordanstown area, was a cyclist who was in a collision with a vehicle in the New Line area of Carrickfergus, Co Antrim

December 13 - A 20-year-old woman died after being struck by a vehicle on the Belfast Road in Lisbellaw, Co Fermanagh
