Sinead O’Connor left her children a combined £1.7 million in her will and advised them to “milk” her music back catalogue “for all that it’s worth”.

The 56-year-old died in London in July 2023 around 18 months after the loss of her teenage son Shane.

Documents obtained by The Sun newspaper reportedly show her fortune will be split between her three surviving children.

O’Connor also requested that her albums, which sold 6.2 million globally, be released as she urged her children to “milk it for what it’s worth”.

It reads: “I direct that after my death, and at the discretion of any of my children who are then over 18, my albums are to be released so as to “milk it for what it’s worth.

“My children can dispense my ashes as they see fit.”

Her death prompted an outpouring of grief from fans of the ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ singer across the world.

She left a sum of £1.7m to her children Jake Reynolds, Brigidine Roisin Waters, and Yeshua Bonadio. However, debts, funeral expenses, and legal fees reportedly reduced the estate’s value to £1.4million.
