Sinn Féin MP Órfhlaith Begley has given birth just a matter of days before Christmas.
The West Tyrone representative, who married husband Conor Carson (34) almost a year ago, posted a picture of her new daughter on X.
“Christmas came early with the arrival of our beautiful daughter,” the post said.

She thanked the “amazing maternity staff” at South West Area Hospital in Enniskillen, along with their counterparts in Omagh.
“We could not praise them all highly enough,” she added.
The 32-year-old Queen’s University graduate from Carrickmore, whose birthday is December 20, worked as a solicitor before being elected Sinn Féin MP for West Tyrone in 2018, succeeding veteran Barry McElduff.
Among those congratulating the couple and their new baby were SDLP leader Colum Eastwood, Glasgow SNP MP David Linden and fellow Sinn Féin Westminster representative Paul Maskey.
