BBC presenter Stephen Nolan has seen his pay increase slightly this year, up to £409,000.

Stephen Nolan remains one of the BBC’s top earners, received a slight pay increase for 2023/24 of up to £409,000.

The annual list of the broadcaster’s highest-paid stars again saw Match of the Day presenter Gary Linekar finish on top with £1.35m, followed by BBC Radio 2′s Zoe Ball on £950,000.

Newsreader Huw Edwards left the BBC on “medical advice” from doctors in April, following allegations he had paid a young person for sexually explicit photos.

Despite this, his salary had increased during the financial year by £40,000 to £479,999.

BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter Greg James increased his salary to £419,999, just ahead of Mr Nolan’s salary range of £405,000-£409,999.

His pay covers The Nolan Show on Radio Ulster, Nolan Live on BBC One Northern Ireland and the Stephen Nolan Show on 5 Live.

Some of the best known BBC personalities don’t appear on the list, like Claudia Winkleman and Michael McIntyre, as they are paid through production companies that are considered commercial entities.
