Suspected drugs worth an estimated £150,000 seized by PSNI

The seizure was made by officers from Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team on Friday

A man has been arrested after suspected drugs with an estimated street value of approximately £150,000 were seized by police in Derry.

The suspected Class A and suspected Class C drugs were found by officers from the Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team on Friday, 11 October.

As part of enquiries, the 49-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a offences relating to the supply of illegal drugs.

These include Possession of a Class A Controlled Drug, Possession of a Class A Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply, Possession of a Class B Controlled Drug, Possession of a Class B Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply, Being Concerned in the Supply of a Class A Controlled Drug and Being Concerned in the Supply of a Class B Controlled Drug.

He remains in custody at this time.
