A teenage girl sustained a facial injury after a car crashed into a wall outside a west Belfast dental surgery.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning when officers on patrol came across the scene of a one-vehicle collision involving a car and the wall of a building on the Falls Road.
A police spokesperson said: “It is believed that several people were travelling in the vehicle.”
“One teenage girl received medical treatment at the scene for a facial injury before being transported to hospital.
“There were no reports of any other serious injuries.
“Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene.”
Police confirmed that a male teenager driving the car was arrested on suspicion of several driving offences.
These included dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit, and failing to stop, remain and report a collision.
“He was subsequently street bailed to allow for further enquiries,” the spokesperson said.
Police enquiries are ongoing and are appealing to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 93 of 19/12/24.
