Tourism and hospitality businesses in the north are being urged to join workshops aimed at helping drive growth and improve efficiency.

Businesses who sign up to take part in Tourism NI’s Innovate Tourism programme will be provided with advice and guidance on matters such as funding support.

Tourism NI is organising the sessions under its new Innovate Tourism initiative, delivered in partnership with Innovate NI, which focuses on increasing business engagement with innovation.

The workshops are intended to show businesses why innovation is vital for growth in an increasingly competitive landscape, said organizers.

According to Tourism NI, the tourism industry constantly needs to invent new offerings to stay relevant.

Eimear Callaghan, Head of Experience & Industry Development at Tourism NI, said the organisation wants to equip more businesses with tools to boost development through these workshops.

Paul O’ Callaghan, Manager of the Innovate NI programme at Invest NI said: “Tourism has an important role to play in shaping Northern Ireland’s innovation landscape and ensuring the sector continues to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.”

Each workshop will run over four hours and includes a working lunch. Locations span from the Everglades Hotel in Derry to the Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Banbridge.
