Traffic disruption warning ahead of Belfast Vital kick-off for Liam Gallagher and Noah Kahan

The PSNI has advised there will be lane and road closures in place in the area from 3pm on both Friday 16 August and Saturday 17 August

The public have been advised of traffic disruption which is expected in the Boucher Road area as Liam Gallagher and Noah Kahan perform at Belfast Vital. The PSNI has advised there will be lane and road closures in place in the area from 3pm on both Friday 16 August and Saturday 17 August.

Lane closures will be in place between the Shane Retail Park junction and Boucher Crescent, while Lislea Drive from the junction of the Lisburn Road will be closed from 5pm.

A number of road closures will be in place between 9pm and midnight:

  • Boucher Road will be fully closed to traffic between Tates Avenue and the junction with Stockmans Lane
  • Stockmans Lane will be fully closed between Kennedy Way and Lisburn Road
  • Slip roads onto the M1 at Kennedy Way (Northbound) and Stockmans Lane (Southbound)
  • Kennedy Way city-bound from the Andersonstown Road junction towards the M1


There will be no pick up and drop off points within the road closure area, the PSNI have said.

Superintendent Gavin Kirkpatrick has reminded concert goers to be respectful of local businesses and residents, particularly when leaving the concert.

”We want everyone attending the concert to have a great night, to stay safe, and remember the event for all the right reasons,” Superintendent Kirkpatrick said.
