Two men have been arrested in Belfast by police investigating the activities of the New IRA.
The men, aged 39 and 51, were detained under the Terrorism Act on Friday by detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit.
They were taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning, and remain in custody.
A PSNI spokesperson said mobile phones, cash and a small quantity of cannabis were also seized during related searches on Friday at properties in north and west Belfast.
“The items will now undergo further forensic examination,” they added.
