Two arrests after suspected drugs recovered in Downpatrick

A man and a woman have been arrested by police following the seizure of suspected Class A drugs in Co Down.

The arrests were made as detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch searched two properties in Downpatrick on Wednesday.

Suspected Class A drugs were recovered at both properties, along with “drugs paraphernalia”, several mobile phones and around £2,000 in cash.

A 45-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, possession of Class A controlled drugs and possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.



A 19-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A controlled drugs and possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Both remained in police custody on Wednesday.
