Two charged over Limavady drugs seizure

Pair have been charged in connection with drugs haul worth £12,000 in June of last year

Two men have been charged by police in connection with the seizure of drugs worth £12,000 in Co Derry last summer.

The Class B and C drugs were recovered following a search of two houses in Limavady by detectives from the PSNI’s Organised Crime Branch on June 20, 2023.

A 45-year-old man was arrested by police on April 30 this year and has been charged with offences including possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply, possessing criminal property and converting criminal property.



He is due to appear before Limavady Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A 49-year-old man arrested on Tuesday morning has been charged with offences including being concerned in the supply of a class B controlled drug and possessing Class B drugs.

He is due to appear before Limavady Magistrates Court on June 5.

All charges for both men will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
