Two people taken to hospital following crash in Co Down

Two people have been taken to hospital following a serious car crash in Co Down.

It happened on the Belfast road in Magheralin at around 1.45pm on Tuesday 1 October.

NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) attended and confirmed they have taken two people to hospital following the incident.

A NIAS spokesperson said: “NIAS despatched two Emergency Ambulance Crews and the Hazardous Area Response Team to the incident.

“Following initial assessment and treatment at the scene, two patients were taken by ambulance to Craigavon Area Hospital.”

Police attended the scene along with NI Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS).



The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
