The Undertones are set to headline a concert in Derry in support of Palestine.
Gig for Gaza will also feature a host of other homegrown musical talent, including Pop group D:Ream, of Things Can Only Get Better fame, who will be joined by Eimhéar Ní Ghlacaín, punk rockers TOUTS, Lavengro; ROE, Reevah, and Niall McNamee.
Co-organised by the Derry branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Jika Jika, Gig for Gaza will take place on Sunday, August 25.
Speaking to The Irish News, Derry IPSC spokesperson Brónach McMonagle said “We believe in the power of community and the impact collective generosity can have on those in need.

“All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorship will be donated to ‘Fund a Food Drop,’ a project run by Derry’s Hilda Orr, providing essential resources directly to Gaza.
“They urgently need funds to continue offering food, shelter, clothing, nappies, and more. We firmly believe that the people of Derry are the most generous in the world. Let’s come together and support Palestine,” said Ms McMonagle.
Gig for Gaza guest speakers will include Saeb Shaath, chairperson of Palestine Aid and Middle East expert, and life-long socialist Eamonn McCann.
A young Palestinian speaker will also provide an update on the current situation in Gaza. Gig for Gaza tickets can be purchased here.
