Woman (23) arrested at Belfast Airport as part of New IRA probe

Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit detained the woman on Saturday morning

Police detained the woman at Belfast International Airport under the Terrorism Act on Saturday.

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested at Belfast International Airport as part of an investigation into the dissident republican group, the New IRA.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Terrorism Investigation Unit made the arrest on Saturday morning.

She was detained under the Terrorism Act and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Musgrave for questioning.
