Woman arrested over suspected fraudulent card transactions

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested following reports on the misuse of store cards and fraudulent transactions in Newtownabbey.

The woman, who was detained on Tuesday, was questioned on suspicion of fraud and false representation over the use of the store cards in the Church Road area of Newtownabbey in May and June of last year.

She was later released released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.

A number of items were seized as a result of the search, and a PSNI spokesperson said: “The investigation is continuing and anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1298 06/06/23.”
