Woman taken to hospital with ‘life threatening injuries’ after Ballymena crash

Enquiries are continuing and police appealed to anyone with any information to contact them

A woman has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries following a crash in Ballymena.

The two vehicle crash happened on the Rathkeel Road in the Moorfields area on Tuesday August 13.

A white Ford Transit and a white Volkwagen Polo were involved in the incident shortly before 5.10pm.

One woman in her 50s remains in hospital with injuries described as life threatening.

Another woman aged in her 60s remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for information.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information, or who may have dash-cam footage available to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1065 13/08/24.”



The Rathkeel Road, which was closed following the collision, was subsequently reopened.
