TWO men have been charged with a string of driving offences after police chased a car across Belfast.
Police said officers began to pursue the car on Clifton Street in the north of the city yesterday afternoon.
The car hit a woman before driving towards the east where it crashed into another vehicle on the Newtownards Road, shortly after 3.30pm.
The woman and the driver of the car are being treated in hospital.
Their injuries have been described as "not life-threatening".
An 18-year-old man is to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today charged with crimes including dangerous driving and driving whilst disqualified.
A 32-year-old man will appear before the same court on August 22 charged with allowing a car to be used without insurance and failing to give information about a driver.
The police chase has been referred to the Police Ombudsman.
PSNI Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said police first spotted the car on Clifton Street.
"This vehicle subsequently hit a female pedestrian before making off and then later colliding with another vehicle on the Newtownards Road shortly after 3.30 pm," he said.
"Both the female pedestrian and the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision have been taken to hospital for treatment on injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time."
