Man (40) due before Newry Magistrates Court charged in relation to Co Armagh security alerts

A 40-year-old man is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court today charged with a range of offences including four counts of making explosives under suspicious circumstances and two counts of causing an explosion likely to endanger life.

He is also charged with two counts of attempting to cause an explosion along with a number of driving offences.

It is understood the charges relate to security alerts in the Castleblayney Road area of Keady, the Newtown Road area of Camlough and the Maghery Road area of Craigavon earlier this month.
