Attack on new homes must be condemned

The wanton vandalism that has been carried out on homes being built in east Belfast is profoundly depressing.

As well as smashing fifteen windows in a development under construction in the Woodlee Court area of the Beersbridge Road, the perpetrators sprayed 'local only' graffiti on the wall of a house.

Police are treating this incident as a hate crime and it is essential anyone with information about this attack comes forward.

Such intolerant attitudes must be completely rejected while potential residents need to reassured that this is a safe and welcoming place to live.
