WE live in a divided world. We human beings are experts at dividing it even further, identifying reasons why we are not only different from, but better than, others.
We are quick at devising ways of thinking about and relating with different others in support those reasons.
Yet our world is being impacted and shaped by issues that know no borders: climate change, global health, racial injustice, forced migration, and divide and rule politics, to name a few.
Addressing these concerns requires the inclusion, cooperation, and contribution of everyone.
Christmas time presents us with a special opportunity to reflect on our relationships with others in the context of the message of 'good will to all peoples'.
As you prepare for Christmas, I pray that "...God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus...", that "you, being rooted and established in love... may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Philippians 4:19).
I wish you well for Christmas and the New Year.
