Ballymena United have announced club legend Jim Ervin as their new manager ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Ervin, who captained the club and spent seven years at Ballymena between 2014 and 2021, made 277 appearances and won the League Cup and the County Antrim Shield.
It's Ervin's first managerial job, and he takes the post following David Jeffrey's decision to step down from the role at the end of last season, which concluded with a 4-0 loss to Crusaders in the Irish Cup final.
It's a period of transition at the club and Ervin will be looking to get busy in the transfer market, as Ross Redman and Jordan Williamson have already departed the club, leaving for Portadown and Crusaders respectively, whilst captain Josh Kelly has been linked with a move to Glentoran.
