Former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge has offered to “pay anything” to have his dog back after his LA home was broken into.

In an Instagram post, in which a smashed glass door is clearly visible, a distraught sounding Sturridge pleaded: “Listen, whoever knows who broke into my crib, I will pay you anything, I am dead serious.

“I want to know what’s went on, I want to know why they’ve took my dog, I want to know why they’ve took bags from upstairs.”

Sturridge’s Pomeranian dog has its own Instagram account. Described on the account as a “Loveable Little Lion”, Lucky Lucci has over 5,000 followers.

He added: “How can you break into a house in LA and take somebody’s dog? Are you crazy? You’ve come into a house to take a dog?

"Somebody please find my dog, I will pay anything, I am dead serious. I want my dog back.”

In a further Instagram story uploaded to the ex-Liverpool attacker’s account, he said: “It doesn’t make any sense. Someone find my dog please.

"Like I said before, I will pay anything. It is not about the money. I just want my dog, simple as that.”

Sturridge, who recently became the first player to win the Champions League with two different English clubs, is currently without a club though he is heavily linked with newly promoted Aston Villa.
