Northern Ireland and Glentoran winger Conor McMenamin has joined Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.
McMenamin lined out for the Glens in a pre-season friendly against Kilmarnock on Tuesday evening and helped Warren Feeney’s men to a top three finish last season.
The 27-year-old featured for Northern Ireland in both their recent Euro 2024 qualifying defeats to Denmark and Kazakhstan and has earned six international caps since last summer.
A recurring calf injury ruled McMenamin out of contention for games against San Marino and Finland, but he did return to make two substitute appearances for Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland.
It is understood Glentoran knocked back two initial bids from the Scottish side, who have been keen to sign McMenamin over the past number of days.
The moves sees St Mirren bolster their attacking options ahead of their upcoming League Cup and Premiership campaigns.
The Buddies kickstart the 2023/24 league campaign with an away day trip to Hibernian on Sunday 6 August.
Stephen Robinson’s side secured a top six finish last season but failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the League Cup.
That will certainly be a target this season for St Mirren, who have been grouped alongside Arbroath, Montrose, Forfar Athletic and Cowdenbeath.
