Ulster GAA Player Academy officially launched

The 3fivetwo Group Ulster GAA Player Academy 2015 has been officially launched by 3fivetwo Group Development Director Mark Regan at the Ulster University, Jordanstown.

120 young players from Gaelic football, hurling, handball and wheelchair hurling been selected from every county in Ulster to participate in the Academy.

Ulster GAA President Martin McAviney said: “The 3fivetwo Group Ulster GAA Player Academy is a fantastic initiative to develop bright young players who are showing real promise through their county development squads.

“The Academy aims to grow young players and to encourage them to think about healthy lifestyles, good training practices and skills development.”

He continued: “We are delighted to include young handballers and wheelchair hurlers in the Academy this year and I have no doubt the 3fivetwo Group Ulster GAA Player Academy, which takes place on 6th and 7th July at the Ulster University, will be a great experience for these promising young players.”

3fivetwo Group Development Director Mark Regan also attended the launch of the Academy. He said: “3fivetwo Group are proud medical partners of Ulster GAA and we are delighted to sponsor the 2015 Player Academy.

“This Academy identifies and develops future Gaelic stars and provides important guidance on players looking after their health, both mind and body.”

The Ulster GAA Player Academy will take place on Monday 6th July and Tuesday 7th July at the Ulster University, Jordanstown and a press conference will be held on Tuesday 7th July at the Academy at 1:15pm.
