Down deservedly saw off old rivals Armagh for a first senior Championship victory in the derby for a quarter-century.


The Mournemen recovered from conceding two first half goals to dominate the second half and hold on for a 0-15 to 2-7 victory in the Ulster SFC quarter-final.


Eamonn Burns's side now await the winners of Cavan v Monaghan in the semi-final - to be played in Armagh - while the Orchardmen head into the uncertainty of the qualifiers.
