Gaelic for Mothers and Others:

On Saturday 6th July the annual Ulster Ladies Gaelic Football 2019 Ulster Blitz was held at Páirc Chiceam at Kickhams GAC. There were over 100 players and many more supporters and coaches from all around Ulster. Everyone had a fantastic day playing games, catching up with friends and enjoying everything that is at core and ethos of playing G4M&O's.

In attendance were 11 clubs from around Ulster including the host club Kickhams Creggan (Antrim), Saval (Down), Bredagh (Down), Ballinascreen (Derry), Carryduff (Down), St Mary’s Convoy (Donegal), Drumragh Sarsfields (Tyrone), Glennshego (Down/Armagh), Wolfe Tones Derrymacash (Armagh), Badoney (Tyrone), Omaha St Endas (Tyrone) and Silverbridge (Armagh).

Gala Dinner:

O’Connell GAC Tullysaran will be holding a Gala Dinner at the Armagh City Hotel on Saturday, October 19, 2019 to mark 130 years of Gaelic Games at the club and to celebrate our football and camogie Championship winning sides. Tickets, which includes a drinks reception, meal and entertainment from The Knights, are £100 per person. Contact Paul Corrigan (07803172532), GP White (07725699367) or Liam Kerr (07759540403). Tickets can also be paid off in four monthly instalments of £25.

Eglish St Patrick's GFC:

Eglish St Patrick's U14 team who won the the Grade 2 Championship, Grade 2 League and went to Mayo and won the All Ireland Féile all in the space of a week; Grade 2 Championship - Wednesday 26th June; All Ireland Féile - Sunday 30th June; Grade 2 League - Tuesday 2nd July.

Glasdrumman GAC:

Our Summer Festival got underway on Friday with our annual golf classic taking place. Thank you to everyone who participated, to all our sponsors, especially our main sponsor Glasgiven contracts, to Colette and Pauline Carr and Tara and Aoife Grant for their help. Thank you to the sub committee of Dee, Eddie, Colette and Gary for organising another successful club golf classic, finally thanks to kilkeel golf club for the use of their fantastic course.

We also finished our 'Couch to 5K' programme in style, by tackling the Dinnywater Dander yesterday evening. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Athletics NI's Paula Earley for putting us through our paces. Paula was there cheering us on every step in all weathers. Thank you to all of our participants for helping to raise money for Mourne Mountain Rescue and Autism Support Kilkeel.

On Friday July 12 we will hold an Acti-Sport Family Fun Evening, which kicks off at 7pm and as usual everyone is welcome. Our summer festival finishes on Saturday with our Summer BBQ. Grills will be lit from 8pm until 10pm. Live music by the fabulous Phillips Sisters. A great night is guaranteed. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased from any committee member.

Donaghmore GAA:

Thank-you to all our lotto sellers but especially Patsy Gallagher, Eamon Mc Keown and Philly Mc Kenna who are diamonds and do tremendous work for our club lotto. If there are any young members who would like to sell a few lotto tickets in their area over the summer please contact a committee member.

U14 lads: The U14’s memorable season came to an end last Thursday with the last of this year’s Finals. Congratulations to each member of the team and management. You are lucky to be part of such an exceptional group. Keep it going and good luck as you move on in the rest of the season.
