TYRONE have been drawn in the same group as five in-a-row chasing Dublin for this year’s All-Ireland Ladies’ Senior Football Championship.
The Red Hands made little impact in the group stage of the competition last year and will also have Waterford for company this time around. Meanwhile, Armagh will have to get through two Ulster derbies if they are to progress from Group A.
The Orchardwomen pushed the Dubs all the way in last year’s All-Ireland semi-final but lost out by five points in a dramatic Kingspan Breffni clash. This year they have been grouped with Cavan, Monaghan (the last Ulster winners of this competition in 1997) and Mayo.
Elsewhere, Donegal will take on Galway and Kerry in Group D while Cork (beaten finalists last year) meet Tipperary and Meath in Group B.
