Kinawley and Erne Gaels secured their places in the Mannok Fermanagh semi-finals with hard-fought wins over Belnaleck and Ederney respectively.
On Saturday, Ruairi Corrigan’s fisted point in added time in extra-time edged Kinawley to a 1-15 to 2-11 win.
Belnaleck had led in added on time in normal time, but Tomás Corrigan came up with a fine point to send the game to extra-time.
The sides had been level at half-time in normal time at 1-4 each, Eoghan McManus palming to the net for Kinawley, while Ciaran McBrien replied for Belnaleck.
Belnaleck started the second half brightly with points from Garvan Quigley and McBrien but back came the Boru’s with impressive half-time sub Caolan Brennan among the points as they moved two clear.
However, McBrien bagged his and Belnaleck’s second goal with a close-range finish and with Quigley clipping over a free, the Art McMurroughs moved two ahead with 55 minutes played.
Quigley, though, was then sent off as he picked up a black card having already been booked and Corrigan cut the gap to one before his late equaliser.
Tomás Corrigan picked up a black card in the first period of extra-time but with Sean McManus among the points Kinawley went in at the break with a 1-14 to 2-9 lead.
Points from Lee Cullen and Bryan Owens for Belnaleck levelled up matters, but Ruairi Corrigan had the last say.
The action moved to Belleek yesterday as the home side Erne Gaels pipped 13-man Ederney 0-11 to 1-7 thanks to an excellent point from Ultan Kelm at the death.
Ederney lost Pol McKervey to a straight red after only 15 minutes but at the break only a point divided the sides with Erne Gaels holding a 0-3 to 0-2 lead.
An Enda Cassidy point on the restart levelled matters but things then went from bad to worse for Ederney as they lost Conor McGee to a black card and soon after had Paul Maguire red-carded.
The home side had Shane Rooney black-carded midway though the half but when Oisin Kelm knocked over it put them into a 0-6 to 0-4 advantage.
Ederney though responded and Declan McCusker swung over a point before Sean Cassidy palmed to the net on 55 minutes.
Back came Erne Gaels and points from Oisin Kelm, Ultan Kelm and Ryan Lyons nudged them ahead. It appeared that extra-time was on the cards when Ederney goalkeeper Chris Snow drilled over an excellent point, but Erne Gaels had one last attack and Kelm fired over a superb point from the left.
