ANTRIM’S Jordan Brown ran into a man in form at the BetVictor Scottish Open yesterday as world number nine Kyren Wilson blitzed the Antrim man 4-0 in their last-64 clash.
Brown had beaten Wilson on his way to the sem-final of the International Championship in October, but the Mansfield man was in no mood to let a repeat happen as breaks of 126, 74, 129 and 106 gave him victory in double-quick time, with Brown managing a mere 13 points in reply.
With Mark Allen also out, Irish hopes now rest with 21-year-old Cork man Aaron Hill, who enjoyed a fine 4-1 win over world number 16 Jack Lisowski on Tuesday night and now plays Stuart Bingham on Thursday.
