IRISH Canoeist Noel Hendrick misses out on the K1 Canoe Slalom Final after placing 15th in the Semi Finals on Thursday afternoon.
The Team Ireland representation would be the second participant to challenge in the event and after an impressive start to the proceedings, the Irishman’s kayak toppled over midway through the race.
Despite losing precious time, Hendrick recovered well and was not deterred, finishing with a final time of 102.46 seconds and incurring four penalty seconds.

The United Kingdom’s Joseph Clarke would achieve the best result of the Semi Finals by finishing the course in 89.51 seconds with zero penalties.
The Irishman bows out of a commendable Olympics campaign, having progressed through the men’s kayak heats on Tuesday.
