DERRY City’s push for silverware reaches the next stage as they prepare to face Dublin side Bohemians in the FAI Cup semi-finals.
The Brandywell side are still in with a should of completing the league and cup double but attentions turn to the semi-final against bottom-half side Bohs.
Ruaidhrí Higgins’ side comes into this game in a poor run of form, with the Candystripes only managing one win in four league games, with their latest outing ending in a 2-1 defeat to second-from-bottom Drogheda United.
Bohemians come into this game off the back of a 2-0 win against last-placed Dundalk, who look likely to be relegated amid financial troubles for the side this season.
With a place in the FAI Cup final at stake, both sides will fancy themselves in with a chance but it will be Derry City who go in with form on their side.
City have impressed in the cup this season, beating league leaders Shelbourne and 2023 cup winners St Patrick’s Athletic.
However, Bohemians have taken out UCD and lofty Shamrock Rovers along the cup route.
