Cliftonville announce signing of Ryan Markey from Klub Kildare

The 18-year-old signs from Klub Kildare and becomes the Reds’ seventh signing of the season

CLIFTONVILLE have added Ryan Markey to their ranks, signing the teenager from youth side Klub Kildare.

The 18-year-old attended the Reds’ 2-1 away win against Glenavon before signing on the dotted line for the north Belfast outfit.

Markey was a member of the Bohemians academy before leaving for Klub Kildare’s U17 side, where he scored six goals in 11 appearances in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

This move sees him become the Reds’ seventh signing of the summer window, joining Destiny Ojo, Axel Piesold, Ruaidhri Donnelly, Sean Stewart, Luke Conlan and Michael Newberry.

Cliftonville’s latest signing could be available for the Reds’ next game at home against Dungannon Swifts on Tuesday evening.
